Vadim Gladkov (Piano)
Pianist Vadim Gladkov was born in Kiev. He started to play the piano at the Children's Music School ¹ 1 with his aunt, Ludmila Gavrin, then her mother, Tatiana Gladkova, and then in the Lysenko Central Special Music School with professor Valery Sagaydachny. He graduated with honors from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, receiving a diploma of concert performer. Then perfected his skills at the Higher School of Music of Queen Sofia in Madrid with Professor Dmitri Bashkirov and professor-assistant Galina Egiazarovoy. Twice received the diploma of the best student of the Department from Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain. During the years of studying took master classes with such distinguished pianists as: Vitaly Margulis, Leon Fleischer, Claude Frank, Andrash Schiff, Sergio Pertikaroli, Menahem Pressler, George Sandor, Karl Ulrich Schnabel, Pavel Gililov and Esther Yellin. Among many prizes in international competitions there are: Grand Prix (first prize and two special awards) at the IX International Piano Competition «Da Cidade do Porto»; First Prize and Prize for the best performance of special piece at the Belarusian International Piano Competition "Minsk Spring" , First Prize and Gold Medal at the I International Lysenko Competition, Second Prize and Special Audience Prize at the X International Piano Competition «Ciudad de Ferrol»; Second Prize at the III International Piano Competition «Premi Principat d'Andorra»; first prize at the XII International Piano Competition in Ibiza, First Prize at the IV International Chamber Music Competition «Guadamora». Vadim Gladkov is also winner of the Gold Cup at the XIX International Festival of Friendship and Art in Pyongyang, and the Best Accompanist Prize at the X International Vocal Competition «Acisclo Fernandez Carriedo».

Vadim Gladkov was a member of the Jury of the XIII International Ibiza Piano Competition, IX International Competition of Young Pianists «Ciudad San Sebastian», XXII International Competition «Da Cidade do Porto», I International Youth Competition "J. Chuluun" in Ulan Bator and the International Piano Competition «Anton Garcia Abril». Vadim was teaching at piano master classes at the Conservatory of Cartagena, in the Conservatories of Palencia, Alcala de Enares and the International University Menendez Pelayo (Santander). Vadim Gladkov took part in numerous festivals, among which are: XII International Festival of Music «Ciudad de Ubeda», VIII International Festival of Toledo, V Festival of Contemporary Music in Girona, VI Music Festival Spanish in Cadiz, I Chamber Music Festival 2009 SEFARAD (Madrid), 45 International Festival "Porta Ferrada", 16 Flaneries Musicales d'Ete de Reims, 20th Colmar International Festival, II International Piano Duo Festival "Baltic Duets" (St. Petersburg), Oslo Griegfestival, Kronberg Cello Festival 2007, Festival de Musique Classique Montreux-Vevey, 10th Guildford International Music Festival 2009 Festival. Yehudi Menuhin 2010 (Gstaad), V International Festival «Chamber Music Session 2010 - Piano Duo» (Kiev). From 2001 Vadim is regular participant of the festival «Encuentro de Musica y Academia de Santander» (Cantabria). In 2006 he took part in a serie of concerts "Zakhar Bron and his School," which was held in the Central Concert Hall Auditorio Nacional in Madrid and was broadcasted by Spanish television. He has performed concerts in England, Germany, Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Italy, Morocco, Mongolia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Tunisia, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Estonia, Japan. Vadim peformed in such a famous halls in Spain as Auditorio Nacional de Musik, Fundacion Juan March, Madrid Teatro Real de, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, Palau de la Musik de Valencia, Sociedad de Bilbao Philharmonic, Teatro Juan Bravo de Segovia , the Teatro de Santa Cruz Gimera de Tenerife, the Teatro de Alicante Prinsipal, Teatro de Mahon Prinsipal and others.

Vadim Gladkov made many recordings in the Ukrainian Radio and Radio Classics, Radio Nacional de Espana, Radio Television Espanola and the National Television of Mongolia. In 2005 recorded CD in Germany («Romantische Verwandlungen») with Hans-Jorg Shellenbergerom (oboe), Gerard Kosse (viola) and Radovan Vlatkovichem (horn). In 2007 — CD with cellist Leonard Elshenbroyh («Musica Nostalgica», works by Alfred Schnittke, label «ONDINE») and in March 2008 - «SONY BMG» label CD with violinist Kamio Mayuka («In Recital»). Gladkov has a wide piano solo repertoire (included works of Ukrainian composers — M.Lysenko, M.Revutsky, V.Kosenko, M.Kolessa, M.Skoryk, V.Silvestrov, N.Sil'vanskii, I.Shamo, L.Dychko, G.Lyashenko, Y.Ishchenko (premiere of the piece "Lento doloroso")), performing recitals and as soloist with orchestras. At the same time he has very big interest playing also chamber and vocal music. Vadim has collaboration with many singers. In May-June 2006 had very successful concert tour with cellist Kaori Yamaga in Japan, where among other concert halls they performed in Suntory Hall in Tokyo. With cellist Leonard Elshenbroyh he made fantastic concert tour in February 2008 performing in seven countries, their concerts were held in such halls as the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Rudolfinum (Prague), Slovak Philharmonic (Bratislava), Rachmaninov Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Concert Hall "Estonia" (Tallinn), and others. Recently made a concert tour in Italy and England with violinist Nicola Benedetti. In 2009 played a concert in Madrid ("In memory of Mstislav Rostropovich") with Natalia Gutman.

From 2005 Vadim performing in piano duet with Mongolian pianist Mendmaa Dorzhiyn, playing concerts in Spain and abroad. Soon the duo became diplomants of the International Competition "TIM - Torneo Internazionale di Musica" in Rome and then in Norway (Oslo), at the 7th International Grieg Competition, duet Dorzhiyn - Gladkov wins first prize and special prize in the category «two pianos» and second prize and the Special Prize in the category «piano 4 hands”. From January 2006 they performing as “Grieg Piano Duo”. In 2008, 2010 and 2011 Grieg Piano Duo teaching at master classes for piano duets at the International University Menendez Pelayo (Santander, Spain). Now Gladkov combines performing activities with teaching at "Center for Music Education Katarina Gurska" in Madrid, where he holds piano class. From 2000 to 2009 worked as accompanist in the class of Professor Hans-Jorg Shellenberger (oboe) in Hogher School of Music of Queen Sofia, from 2003 working as accompanist at the violin department in class of Professor Zakhar Bron. He worked as accompanist on master classes of such a reknown professors as Gordon Hunt, Ingo Goritskii, Maurice Burg, Dominik Wollenweber, Alex Klein, Stephen Chilly (oboe), Sylvia Marcovichi, Mauricio Fuks, Anna Chumachenko, Igor Osimo, Gyorgy Pauk, Eszter Pereni , Nam Yong Kim, Sergei Kravchenko, Pamela Frank, Miriam Fried, Vadim Repin and Ivry Gitlis (violin), Natalia Shahovskaya (cello), Jaime Martin (flute), Klaus Tunemann (bassoon), Radovan Vlatkovich (French horn), Rainer Zepperits (double bass), Eduard Brunner, Elmar Schmid, Karl-Heinz Steffens and Paul Meyer (clarinet).
